Boulder, Colorado: The city took delivery on three electric-hybrid cars in September, 2000, joining 13 other alternative fuel-powered cars owned by the city. One of the Boulder hybrids is assigned to the Transportation Department and another to the water-quality office of Public Works. The remaining car is a citywide pool vehicle. New York, New York: The city bought 231 Prius hybrids in April, 2001 for use by the Department of Buildings, Parks and Recreation, the Department of Health and the Department of Transportation
New York: The state purchased 56 Prius hybrids in April, 2001 and will use them for bus road control, route planning and support operations.
New Jersey: The state purchased 33 Prius hybrids in April, 2001 for use by the Central Motor Pool and the Port Authority.
Washington: The state owns 76 Prius vehicles.
