Hybrid Vehicle Fleets

Alachua County, Florida: The county purchased two Toyota Priuses and has one more on order. CONTACT: Milton Reid, Director of Fleet Management 352-334-2261.

Martin County, Florida: the county Sheriff's Office purchased 11 Toyota Prius vehicles in December, 2001. They are used by detectives, administrators, and parking enforcement. CONTACT: Robert L. Crowder, Martin County Sheriff 772-220-7000.

Coral Springs, Florida: The city bought a Toyota Prius in early, 2001. CONTACT: Alan Polin, Commissioner, 954-345-3408.

Boulder, Colorado: The city took delivery on three electric-hybrid cars in September, 2000, joining 13 other alternative fuel-powered cars owned by the city. One of the Boulder hybrids is assigned to the Transportation Department and another to the water-quality office of Public Works. The remaining car is a citywide pool vehicle. Boulder County, Colorado: The county added a hybrid to its fleet in September, 2000.

Fort Collins, Colorado: The city owns a hybrid.

Mesquite, Texas: The city bought two 2002 Toyota Priuses in March, 2002. The cars are driven by the city's restaurant inspectors. CONTACT: Steve Killen, Health Manager, 972-216-6325.

Coppell, Texas: The city had ordered a hybrid vehicle for its facilities manager as of April, 2002.

New York, New York: The city bought 231 Prius hybrids in April, 2001 for use by the Department of Buildings, Parks and Recreation, the Department of Health and the Department of Transportation

New York: The state purchased 56 Prius hybrids in April, 2001 and will use them for bus road control, route planning and support operations.

New Jersey: The state purchased 33 Prius hybrids in April, 2001 for use by the Central Motor Pool and the Port Authority.

Washington: The state owns 76 Prius vehicles.
